Biographical Information:

Florence Lemkowitz of South Pasadena, well known awarding-winning author and travel writer, passed away on October 18, 2010. Member of the Society of American Travel Writers; American Society of Journalists and Authors and New York Travel Writers. Born in Boston, MA.

Resident of the St. Petersburg area since 1973 and previously longtime resident of Hartford, CT and New York City.

Florence was pre-deceased by father David McCrensky, mother Etta Krinsky and husband Julius T. Lemkowitz.

She is survived by brother Harold McCrensky and his wife Selma; brother Leonard McCrensky and his companion Sharon Ray; uncle Hy Chiat; Michelle da Silva Richmond and Cynthia da Silva who were like daughters to her; Kimberly Richmond Monique Richmond, Mateo Noble, several nieces and nephews and various cousins.

Funeral services will be 11:30AM Friday, October 22, 2010 at the David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Burial will follow in Bay Pines National Cemetery.

David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel, is serving the family.
